Dr. Larissa Beyerlein, MD received her medical training at the University of Zurich. Initially drawn to naturopathy and herbal medicine, she shifted to traditional medical school due to financial constraints, where she discovered her passion for pediatrics. After completing a family medicine internship in Switzerland, she pursued her pediatric residency at the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2010, followed by specialized training in pediatric emergency medicine at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. She later joined the emergency department at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis..
Throughout her career, Dr. Beyerlein has always been interested in integrative and functional approaches to medicine. She has pursued extensive training in ancestral nutrition, compassionate bereavement care with Dr. Joanne Cacciatore, and fertility care, studying under Dr. Aumatma, ND and Angela Heap, Fertility Nutritionist.
Dr. Beyerlein is committed to a comprehensive approach to care, incorporating nutrition, lifestyle changes, homeopathy, herbal medicine, and spiritual/energetic therapies. She is currently undergoing fellowship training with the Medical Academy of Pediatrics and Special Needs (MAPS) and is passionate about helping families prepare for pregnancy, overcome fertility challenges, and raise healthy children.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Beyerlein enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, and spending time in nature with her husband, son, and friends.
